Your Event Partner, Always Reliable...Always Remarkable

Planners, Designers, and Producers of Events

Since 1983 the team at "LAPD" has been creating, designing and executing events. Our staff is a creative force of individuals who understand the process of design from concept to completion. Knowledge and experience is key in this ever changing industry, as well as a love for visual gratification. As one of our clients, who worked for NASA once said, "I will never see the projects I work in my lifetime. You get to see your planning come to fruition, what a joy." We so agree! Our professional methodology to the art of planning events continues to bring our clients endless accolades.

“Countdown” 2012

Celebrate, through tradition:  Our society embraces so many traditions. One tradition is the the Chinese, New Year, which occurs near the end of January and celebrates an “animal”, assigning the year and those born to the year with specific characteristics.  This year “we” celebrate, “The Year of the Dragon”, which is marked  by excitement, unpredictability, exhilaration and intensity.

Another form of celebration is  making black eyed soup.  Tradition says if you had one black-eyed pea for every explanation of the legend of black-eyed peas bringing good luck when eaten on New Year’s Day, you’d have enough for a big pot of the delicious legumes. One of the most plausible stories is that, after the Civil War, hungry Southern foragers who found leftover stockpiles of dried black-eyed peas considered themselves to be extremely fortunate.

Here in  Southern California we are graced with our beautiful, Rose Parade, which travels down the streets of Pasadena on (the Monday after) New Years Day. This year is 123rd year of the parade.  Its theme is “Just Imagine”.  After the parade droves of families and friends as well as fans set on an exodus to the Rose Bowl to watch the victors of college, football.  This year Oregon and Wisconsin will see who wins the title, of the best collegiate team.

All of us at LA Party Designs, wish you a healthy, happy, and rewarding 2012.

We are so grateful for our loyal clients and the ability to service others in this up coming “Year of the Dragon”.

Cheers

Our year came to an end with a great event at Universal Studios.  We rolled out the red carpet for our client and created a tribute to the streets of Universal, Terminator, James Bond, Sherlock Holmes, and Moulin Rouge.  Thanks for all the memories 2011!

LAPD helping LAPD

Yes, was our answer when the Los Angeles Police Department, “LAPD”, asked us “LAPD”, Los Angeles Party Designs to help create an event for the deserving children and their families at the Ronald McDonald House.

All of our staff participated in supporting South Centrals Division, of the Police Department in “giving back”.  We teamed with detectives, a local restaurant, and our own elves in a night of “holiday” festivities. We were thrilled to be able to support a “charity” that our own local chapter of MPI is strongly involved.  Merry Christmas!

Congrats to our very own Renee Frangella for her continued dedication to community service.  Renee joined 15 MPISCC volunteers and many others to serve meals during the LA Mission’s Thanksgiving Street meal event!!  Over 3,500 meals were served by 500 volunteers, including celebs Kim Kardashian and Mr. and Mrs. Kirk Douglas!   Volunteering benefits the giver as much as the receiver!  Look at these happy faces lending a helping hand to the LA Mission.  Great job Renee and all.

Happy Halloween!!!

Now that’s creative…
